All of the Firetrace fire suppression systems operate pneumatically without the need for external electrical power or control panels.
However, the systems can be fitted with optional volt free pressure switches. These switches can provide a way of monitoring the level of pressure in the Firetrace system and can be interfaced with various Fire alarm systems or building management systems.
The pressure switches can also be used to confirm a discharge of the Firetrace system. This is a very important feature as it is recommended that should an activation occur then the protected process is shut down as soon as possible to avoid re-ignition. This can involve the isolation of power or the removal of fuel and the pressure switches can be used to achieve this.
There are a range of switches available to suit both the application and the type of Firetrace fire suppression system. Twin circuit switches are also available for multiple operations or for where mixed voltages are present.
