Firetrace News

Ipswich based company Firetrace Ltd has recently installed an AED (automated external defibrillator) at its premises on Knightsdale Road, Ipswich. The device has been installed in case someone collapses and is in cardiac arrest on the company premises or nearby. It is one of the first community public access defibrillators in Ipswich.
The AED is available for use 24 hours a day by any of the other businesses based on Knightsdale industrial estate and by local residents.
The early use of a defibrillator and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can make the vital difference in the critical first minutes before an ambulance crew arrives.
Tim Melton Joint MD Firetrace Ltd says “We are very pleased to be able to offer this facility to our community as the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest are vital and early defibrillation is crucial to saving lives.”
Jon Needle Manager of Suffolk's premier volunteers says “It is fantastic to have this piece of life-saving equipment in Dales Road. We hope it never has to be used but it is comforting to know it is there and is available 24hours a day should it be needed. It would be good if more businesses could support their local communities with a similar initiative.
Firetrace Limited is a family owned business based in Ipswich. We specialise in designing and building fire suppression systems that go straight to the heart of the fire. Our patented pneumatic detection tubing detects a fire in its early stage and suppresses it before it becomes a larger more problematic fire.
Our systems monitor the risk area 24/7 365 days a year.
Firetrace has been manufacturing automatic suppression systems for over 25 years and was originally showcased on the BBC Tomorrows World show in 1990. We have a number of documented success stories where the systems have both detected and extinguished the fires with little or no damage to the equipment.
